First Look Media today announced that Anna Holmes, Jezebel founder and former Editorial Director of Fusion's Digital Voices section, is joining the company at the end of April to develop new properties beyond the Intercept, Reported.ly, and The Nib. Ms. Holmes will report to Adam Pincus, First Look Media's EVP, Programming and Content.
In making this announcement, Mr. Pincus said, "Anna has such a strong voice and a distinct point of view. She's expressed it in everything she's done – from Jezebel and Fusion, to her books and her writing for The New York Times. She's the perfect person to help us develop original, ambitious work from independent-minded creators." He added, "We look forward to giving Anna the broadest slate of platforms to express her creativity and ideas."
Ms. Holmes said, "Joining First Look Media is a great next move for me...and a no-brainer: I'm a big admirer of FLM's commitment to creativity, independence and truth-telling, and excited to work with Adam on crafting forward-looking, digital-first media properties that will help define our mission and sensibility as we grow and mature."
