First Look Media Snags Comedy Central and NBC Alum Lisa Leingang

December 02, 2015

We are thrilled to announce that Lisa Leingang has joined the First Look Media team. Following notable executive roles with organizations including Comedy Central, NBC, MTV and Bravo—and uncovering groundbreaking talent—Lisa will serve as Senior Vice President, Scripted Programming, based in New York.

In this role, Lisa will head up the development and production of all scripted programming, including short form and episodic digital content, as well as long-form programming for TV and streaming. She will also lead First Look Media's relationships with talent, including performers, writers, directors and producers of scripted programming.

"Lisa's got a great combination of experience and instinct," said Adam Pincus, Executive Vice President, Programming and Content. "She's a fixture in the comedy world, and has an obvious love for an original voice, plus a reliable gut for what audiences will rally around."

Prior to joining First Look Media, Lisa served as a network executive for Bravo's first scripted comedy "Odd Mom Out," overseeing development and production of all 10 episodes. Prior to her role with Bravo, she served as senior vice president of original programming and production at Comedy Central, overseeing east coast development and production of programming, including hit shows Inside Amy Schumer, Jon Benjamin Has a Van, Onion Sportsdome and Ugly Americans. Her tenure with Comedy Central also included serving as executive in charge of production for The Colbert Report and the development and oversight of countless pilots for the network.

Lisa began her career in comedy managing and booking at the Improv Comedy Club in San Francisco before serving as talent executive on the first three years of HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival (also known as U.S. Comedy Arts Festival). Parlaying her experience in the comedy realm to broader platforms, she went on to serve as both manager of development and talent executive at MTV Networks in Los Angeles, where she developed scripted and non-scripted series.

After leaving MTV, Lisa spent more than a decade as a senior development executive for top media organizations including NBC Studios and CBS Entertainment, working and setting up projects with emerging and established talent. She also developed relationships with international producers and production companies, sourcing material for potential projects.
